Oh my heavens. I am such a slacker. It's been what... two weeks since I last posted? Let's just say that summer fever (that's a thing, right?) has gotten to me and lately I've been more than a little scatterbrained. But that's okay. As long as I pull it together for REAL LIVE HIGH SCHOOL in ONE MONTH and 2 days!!!!!
There is also precisely one month and 21 days until my sweet sixteen. Ya boy.
Moving on.
This little outfit is one that I'm saving for back to school, but I just had to share it with all of my lovely followers...
Everybody needs a neutral, pull over sweater like this. You can honestly wear it with about anything in your closet. And in any way you want! I layered it over and dark blue and white striped J. Crew blouse, with red cutoffs from Old Navy. The sweater itself is from BP in Nordstrom (my home away from home). The cutoffs dress it down a bit, but the collar and top knot give it a bit of a preppy... hipster... nerdy look that I've come to adore. I didn't bother putting on any shoes with this outfit... (summer fever again) but I'd probably go with a white sandal or even the right shade of brown. Up to you. You can't see the earrings all that well, unfortunately, but they're darling little crystal drops edged in gold from Quincee's Boutique in American Fork, Utah!! SIX DOLLARS. Yes. Score.

Pretty in Purple (plus slightly crippled)
Quick question: why are there so many names for purple? Mauve. Violet. Indigo. Burgundy. (yes I know I cheated on some of those... but still...)
Next question: Who noticed that slightly life-threatening fire destroying the mountain up in Alpine? (google it if not.) Please keep the people up there in your prayers. Already groups of my friends have been evacuated, and the winds are supposed to change drastically tonight so who knows what will still be standing in the morning.
Now before I go on, please notice the ugly bandages in the photos below. Not socks, bandages. (though I did draw a Nike swoosh on one for tennis today...) No, I do not know how to spell it, let alone pronounce it. I couldn't even tell my coaches what was wrong with me today. I just pointed and told them it hurt. And that I wasn't faking to get out of conditioning (although I wasn't going to turn that down). But anyways I get to wear these lovely semi-permanent wraps all WEEK!! What does this mean? Trying to bathe (not shower) with my legs out of the tub. Getting a simply fantastic tanline from playing outside with these. And much, much more. So yes, now that we've gotten that out of the way.... here's my newest outfit.
This week I tried something new. Purple....
I picked up this skirt at the Park City J.Crew Factory outlet... for like $29. (no joke, i was a happy girl). Plus it's length is so great!! It comes to right below the knees, but the fullness and cut of the skirt make you feel like Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday, not a polygamist. As a bonus, there are pockets. Pockets are always a bonus. And of course there was my all time favorite hair style, the sock bun. I was seemingly the last of all the freshman girls to figure out this lovely little trick, but it was worth it. Just to clarify, yes, there is a sock in that bun. I accented the outfit with gold earring from Nordstrom Rack ($8!! Single digits!!) and gold flips to accomodate my flexible casts.
That's all for tonight. I'm going to go stare out my window at the smoke engulfing the mountains.
Ta ta for now.

Hipsters and Lazy Afternoons
What's a hipster? (haven't we had this conversation before?)
Here's my definition. Nerdy. But cute. Unexpected, preppy even, and the opposite of trendy (except for maybe the other opposite of trendy... which would be old fashioned. in a bad way.)
Remember Miles? The ultimate hipster counselor? I just had to share this photo with you all to demonstrate just how hipster he is. And no, none of us realized this photo was being taken.

Next...
My latest attempt at hipster (even though it's truly not much) is just stacking a bunch of little bracelets. I guess this doesn't have to be hipster. It could be classy, sophisticated (depending on the bracelets), or even just summer chic. So I just added these three skinny ones to my outfit the other day with my red t-shirt. I'm loving true red lately... and this basic t-shirt was exactly what I was looking for! (Abercrombie & Fitch). So here ya go...
And here's a shot where you can see the actual color of the t shirt. It has little rolled sleeves and a pocket with the A&F logo. Sorry it's kind of blurry... that's just the effect I used to blur out the background...
Voila. Well... that's all for today... But I have a cute shoot of my middle sister for later this week!!
Ta Ta for now.
Love, Reagan
PS. Here's the lazy afternoon part of my post... these darling neighborhood kids came over and proceeded to spend the afternoon/evening painting with water. Most entertaining thing out there. A bucket of water, a couple paintbrushes, and some concrete or something? And you're good to go for an hour or more. :)

Ever So Sorry!
First things first.
I am so very sorry for not posting for literally nearly a month. I officially win the worst-blogger-of-the-month award. Hands down.
Next... A new outfit!! Summer means bright colors, bold prints, and gauzy little dresses. So why not all three at once? (side note: I successfully curled my hair with a wand for the first time for these pics... pretty dang proud.)
On to my insanely busy life. Did I tell you about Mexico? Maybe so. Doesn't matter. Here are just a few of the pictures I promised... hang tight and hopefully I'll get around to a full update(:
What's next?? Oh! Only one of the best weeks of my life. BYU tennis camp. 5 days of nonstop tennis and some of my best friends on the planet. These kids only make every single day of my life. :) Also... I think I just might have a future in sports photography (ahem. action shots.)

That's me. Nearly drowning. (I'm the one struggling under the green floatie)
Legit mariachi band. Let's just say this was a big moment.

My roommate, Madeline. She's basically one of my very best friends. And if I have to be up at 2 in the morning with someone, Mags isn't a bad choice.
The girls... (and jake in the background)
Emily.
This is Brig. He's a stud. He's also 11.
Sarah.
Zack.
Well that was forever long but we needed a catch up... Keep checking Sweet Nothings!!
Love you all...

Coral Coral Coral
I've got two sets of photos for you. First of all...
To The Max:
This is an adorable coral maxi dress I found at a little boutique called Apricot Lane in the Riverwoods (down by Provo Canyon I think). They're really afforadable, and as you can see, have tons of cute stuff. I paired it with aqua earrings that my darling friend Bridget made for me! (note: i am NOT one of those girls who can make anything. I struggle with doing my own nails.) Also, check out the detailing on the dress. I love the little ruffles on the straps, etc.
PS. Yes I'm aware that these aren't really impressive photos. But that's okay. Because I just recruited Reese (little sister #2) for a photo shoot (really I'm amazed that I got her to cooperate) in another supes cute coral top from Gap. With a unbelievable pink peony that we snipped from my mom's bush, believe it or not! Follow me on Instagram (reagstennis) for even more gorgeous photos of Reese.
Love,
Reagan (reagstennis on Instagram!) :)

A Bit of Whimsy
Well here we are... another not-quite-summer-but-we're-getting-there morning. So this morning I threw on a kind of gauzy, whimsical white skirt with a steel blue and white striped tee shirt, and a gorgeous gold and pale pink necklace from J. Crew (my happy place). I really loved the way the blue and the necklace complimented eachother.
Also... lucky me I got a wand curling iron! It took a couple of tries... but I think I'm finally getting the hang of it! So I curled my hair with that and then just pulled back the side.

PS: Finding cute swimsuits that not every other girl already has has always been quite a trial. But Ruche has put out a darling retro swim line! Check it out here.
. They're not all quite as modest as I would hope, but I did see some one pieces! I'm loving this print... | Mmm... One last thing... I'm LOVING this Crecuts necklace. The bead remind me of lemon drops. Plus statement lips are spot on right now, loving these summer trends! Try one! xoxo Reagan |

Spring Means Shorts and T-Shirts
So if you can get away with wearing them to school, then why not? But of course, you may want to dress them up a little.
I got this darling graphic tee from J. Crew Factory on sale. Creamish color with a bright pink rose in the middle:) Totes adorbs. Especially with the olive shorts.

Some Thoughts
So... no fashion today. Not in the mood. But I will tell you what I'm wearing. An orange t-shirt from BP at Nordstrom, olive skinny cargos from A&F, silver sandals, and a stack of skinny bracelets from who-knows-where.
There. Got that checked off the list.
So here are my thoughts that I'm really feeling the need to get out here.
Sometimes things get to the point when I just feel like, why on earth don't these people like me? Well, they like me. But not enough to think about what they say in front of me. To invite me to things. To make sure I feel a part of something. And finally I learned something.
who cares.
No really. Who cares? And as soon as I heard that little voice inside my head tell me that, everything changed. It's the truth!! And suddenly I found friends everywhere I turned!! The kids that I'm around now... make me happy. And no it's not like I was the girl with no one to sit with at lunch. Who sat alone at home everyday of the week. I had fun and friends and all that other good stuff, but here's the deal. I was trying too hard.
So now I'm happy. Happier. And it feels so good.
It's never fun to be friends with people who you have to try around.
Love, Reagan
